The NNSS Security Systems Engineering Group provides life-cycle management of all electronic systems that provide physical security for classified matter and special nuclear material.
This position is responsible for leading and managing Technology Division to provide specialized security systems and identify emerging security related technologies at NNSS. SOC is recruiting for an ARGUS Area Map Administrator for the NNSS Protective Force Contract in Nevada. Serves as the primary source for computer-aided design CAD operator responsible for entering/maintaining the building drawings used in Argus. Area Map Administrator (AMA) is also the utility used to create the maps that are displayed on the console. The AMA Utility accepts maps from multiple sources (DXF, Tiger, Dime, CIA). These maps are compiled into AMA and then released to be displayed on the Argus Console. Creates console displays that map the entire system in relation to the facility and ensures proper placement of icons identifying system components (e.g., motion detectors, microwave elements, alarm points). Ensures all aspects of security system engineering and installations are completed.

The ASA must also have basic understanding and knowledge of site security operations, access control concepts and be computer literate.
