Oversees the design and administration of access control and intrusion detection of Argus-controlled areas. The Argus Security Administrator (ASA) must have a security systems background and thorough knowledge of DOE orders and directives. The ASA must have a basic understanding and knowledge of site security operations and access control concepts. The ASA defines security areas and requirements for the access. The ASA will support and maintain the network infrastructure utilized by Argus and other security systems. The individual will configure and install network devices (i.e.: routers, switches, firewalls) required to support the security systems. Individual interfaces with NNSS customers to define security systems and network configurations that meet security needs. The individual maintains access control by providing information, resources, and technical support. The ASA ensures authorized access by monitoring, investigating, and reporting system events and recommending improvements. The individual implements computer and terminal physical security by complying with standards, policies, and procedures; coordinating with facilities security; recommending improvements. Individual will be required to perform other task as deemed appropriate and required by the Director, Technology and Innovation.
