    The position of Storage Planner Supervisor is located at the Hawthorne Army Depot, near the modest, west central Nevada, “High-desert, mountain-side”, community of Hawthorne. Hawthorne Army Depot, known as “The Largest ammunition storage facility in the world,” is centrally located near the modest community of Hawthorne, Nevada, at the base of 11,000 ft. Mt. Grant and at the south end of large and historical Walker Lake on Highway 95. We are located within a comfortable 1 to 2 hour drive of numerous communities and cities in Northern Nevada and Northern California.     Responsibilities

    • Prepares, maintains and ensures implementation of the Depot Master Storage Plan for the Hawthorne Army Depot. Coordinate support services for receipt and shipment function at depot.
    • Prepares and submits for approval billing reports and invoices for all shipping, receiving and storage activities. Monitors for potential deviations from unauthorized storage practices and implements corrective action for deviations from unauthorized storage practices in line with the Master Storage Plan.
    • Performs and provides oversight on research for stocks in storage and anticipated receipts. Prepares written and oral reports, prepare correspondence and ensures applicable ISO compliance in support of the Ammunition Storage function.
    • Prepares out-loading and receiving capability plans, necessary reports, and correspondence.
    • Performs oversight for coordination, scheduling and confirmation of carrier appointments for all incoming materials to HWAD. Assigns proper storage locations for all material in alignment with the Master Storage Plan and U.S. Army strategic readiness.

May be assigned occasional duties of a higher level of difficulty than those listed above. Maintains high ethical standards, overall values of the business, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct to include cooperating during Company investigations; treat all individuals fairly and with respect. Reports potential and known safety and environmental concerns to the appropriate personnel or department.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess 5 years direct experience and in-depth knowledge with the handling, shipping and receiving of munitions.
    • Must possess the knowledge and ability to comprehend and prepare complex documentation in accordance with DoD, State, Federal and ATF regulations.
    • Must posess strong leadership skills in addition to strong customer service skills.
    • Must possess excellent computer and applicable software proficiency to be able to perform job duties in a timely and satisfactory manner, be able to research, create and maintain out-loading and receiving capability plans through the contractually and regulatory required means..
    • Must possess ability to communicate effectively, in English, using all std.and commonly used forms of business communication. Must possess the ability to exercise discretion and sound, but limited independent judgment.
    • Minimum of High School diploma required. Education and/or direct experience in relation to munitions, logistics and operations is required.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of direct experience munitions experience.
    • Must satisfactorily complete and possess all applicable certifications and training required in accordance with the Master Training Plan. Maintaining current applicable certifications/training is a condition of continued employment.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license.  Must also be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance as well as a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in additin to a Secret Clearance and be favorably vetted through the NCIC III System.      
    • Must be able to perform work duties routinely in a safe and efficient manner. Must remain alert and aware of potential and real safety and security hazards at all times especially while performing safety and security sensitive duties.
