    The position of Sr Business Analyst is located at the Hawthorne Army Depot, near the modest, west central Nevada, “High-desert, mountain-side”, community of Hawthorne. Hawthorne Army Depot, known as “The Largest ammunition storage facility in the world,” is centrally located near the modest community of Hawthorne, Nevada, at the base of 11,000 ft. Mt. Grant and at the south end of large and historical Walker Lake on Highway 95. We are located within a comfortable 1 to 2 hour drive of numerous communities and cities in Northern Nevada and Northern California.     • Responsible for understanding the Munitions and Logistics contract and project financials to develop, improve and maintain operational processes that maximize the effectiveness of production to ensure net contribution and or financial goals are met in the areas of Storage, Receiving, Shipping, Demilitarization, and Scrap reutilization.
    • Conduct cost/benefit analysis to include internal audits of projects, programs, procedures and systems. Prepare reports of audits including recommendations for improvement of these areas. Provide assistance and support to the ammunition project managers.
    • Analyze internal business needs and translate them into real time application and operational requirements.
    • Responsible for developing various reports including but not limited to % Complete, Colonel’s Report, Delivery Order Report, Expenditure and Performance Reports, and Semi-Monthly Dropped Tons Report.
    • Upholds company values (Safety, Diversity, Integrity and Success). Performs other duties of the same or lower level of difficulty as assigned. May be assigned occasional duties of a higher level of difficulty than those listed above. Maintains high ethical standards, overall values of the business, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct to include cooperating during Company investigations; treat all individuals fairly and with respect. Reports potential and known safety and environmental concerns to the appropriate personnel or department.


    • Strong analytical and project management skills required. Ability to translate information into effective application and operational requirements. Use quantitative techniques to analyze business problems and make decisions.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting procedures for Storage, Receiving, Shipping, Demil and Scrap Proceeds.
    • Knowledge of the various regulatory and governmental guidelines in the existing contract.
    • Ability to understand and work in a complex environment, under the pressure of demanding deadlines.
    • Must be able to operate a computer connected terminal device and computer based programs, i.e. Microsoft Office.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or four years’ experience in financial related field required.
    • Four years’ experience in financial related field required.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications as required by SOC’s Master Training Plan.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid, State of Nevada, driver’s license. Must also be able to obtain and maintain a clearance through the Bureau of Tobacco, Alcohol, and Firearms. Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC Card.
    • Must be able to perform work duties routinely, in a safe and effective manner, remaining alert and aware of potential work/safety hazards at all times, and especially alert, while performing safety sensitive duties. Must be able to understand fundamental business principles and best practices, to ensure they are incorporated into and supported by solutions.
