  • Overview

    The individual will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining customer relationships and shaping specific new business opportunities primarily within the U.S. Military Uniformed Services for core capabilities including aircraft and ground heavy vehicle maintenance, mmodification, painting, component repair and overhaul services. The individual selected for this high profile role is expected to maintain knowledge of the client organizations, key personnel, competitive environment, and strategic alignment requirements. He or she will have a demonstrated track record in developing initial win strategies for new markets and/or targets, developing a strategic plan and business solutions, formulating, communicating and implementing market strategies, developing competitive assessments, discriminators, and key win themes.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the lead in developing new business and strategic partnerships consistent with the company's strategic plan. Increase customer base by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. Strengthens and leverages customer relationships to create new opportunities.
    • Carry qualified opportunities into the pursuit phase. Develop initial win strategies for new markets and/or targets; develop a strategic plan and business solutions; formulating, communicating and implementing market strategies; shaping the customer, developing competitive assessments, discriminators, and key win themes.
    • Responsible for effectively leading cross-functional project teams of consultants, support staff and SMEs in saupport of business development, capture management and proposal development efforts.
    • Coordinate with multiple company departments in the development of a business unit growth strategy. Provide leadership and guidance to that process. The strategy developed should be in line with the overall company growth strategy and thus requries coordination with senior company leadership
    • Partner and customer engagement. Develop and maintain partnerships and relationships with industry peers and new and existing customers. Lead customer account planning and the establishment and maintenance of customer relationship maps.

    Qualifications

    • Proven ability to employ creative, innovative and novel approaches for addressing customer requirements and overcoming challenges facing the DOS customer
    • Leadership, mentoring and strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective alliances
    • Creative thinking on competitive positioning, win strategy, themes and discriminators
    • Proven capability to apply process-driven capture approaches throughout the business development lifecycle
    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and other U.S. Government contracting regulations     
    • Bachelor Degree preferred
    • Combined 10 years of BD and Capture Management experience
    • Secret Clearance
