    The position of Equipment Specialist/ISR Supervisor, with SOC LLC, A Day and Zimmermann Company, is located at the Hawthorne Army Depot, near the modest, west central Nevada, “High-desert, mountain-side”, community of Hawthorne.     Hawthorne Army Depot, known as “The Largest ammunition storage facility in the world,” is centrally located near the modest community of Hawthorne, Nevada, at the base of 11,000 ft. Mt. Grant and at the south end of large and historical Walker Lake on Highway 95. We are located within a comfortable 1 to 2 hour drive of numerous communities and cities, located in Northern Nevada and Northern California, including South Lake Tahoe, Reno/Sparks, Carson City, Fernley and Sparks, all of which offer abundant opportunities and access to high quality shopping, recreation, health care, education and entertainment.

    HWAD, is also located near the East Gate to Yosemite National Park, Mammoth Lakes, Heavenly and Mt. Rose ski resorts, and a comfortable 4 -5 hour drive North West of Las Vegas , NV.     Responsibilities

    • Develop standards, systems and procedures to assure the serviceability and maintenance of plant, construction and mobility equipment. Perform a constant review and analysis of processes and finished projects to verify an effective equipment maintenance program and compliance with regulatory and contractual standards. Safety development of staff.
    • Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisors to implement new procedures to improve quality of equipment maintenance and calibration functions at the Depot. Coordinate the integration of newly acquired tools and equipment into maintenance functions.
    • Review all requests for new and replacement mobility, construction and production equipment. Assure plans and procedures appropriately address routine and preventative maintenance. Purchase capital equipment.
    • Report, verbally and in writing, any deviations, discrepancies, safety or quality violations or non-standard practices occurring as a result of maintenance activities. Verify remediation efforts which result from such reports. Certify maintenance is conducted in compliance with established standards. Prepare correspondence and reports for the organization as necessary.
    • Supervise ISR team and make sure that ISR records are current, correct and reported to government. Work requires exercise of discretion and independent judgement. Perform other duties of the same or lower level of difficulty as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivlent required, other trade school or college desired.

     

    LENGHT OF EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years experience in maintenance equipment, computer experience, excel, and record keeping.

     

    CERTIFICATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications as required by SOC's Master Training Plan.

     

    LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license unless physically unqualified to obtain such a license. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance as well as a clearance through the Bureau Of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
