  • Overview

    SOC is recruiting for Training Mentors (TM) in support of the Department of State International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Palestinian Authority Security Forces (PASF) Reform Program in the West Bank and Jordan. TMs in Jordan will develop and supervise the delivery of law enforcement curriculum and shall be responsible for monitoring, guiding, and evaluating training for PASF. The TMs will also be responsible for recommending, developing, and modifying course curriculum at JITPC, ACP, and at times in the West Bank. Coordinate with Jordanian PSD and other supporting providers in order to facilitate proper deliver of U.S. developed/sponsored training courses to PASF trainees.




    • Ensure all training courses are properly planned, delivered, and monitored in order to ensure that U.S. developed/sponsored curriculum is being delivered correctly and in full by the trainers.
    • Support a comprehensive evaluation program in order to document and improve the overall quality/effectiveness of all training delivered.
    • Provide guidance to trainers on proper delivery of U.S. developed/sponsored training in order to meet INL/USSC requirements and standards for ensuring quality of instruction for PASF students.
    • Develop and/or refine detailed course curriculum as needed to enhance/increase the level of training provided to PASF students.
    • Conduct or assist with training if required.
    • Provide mentorship to the PA on teaching techniques, development of lesson plans, Cumulative Training Exercises (CTEs) and hands-on training exercises. 
    • TM personnel may be assigned to Jordan or the West Bank as needed in order to support the mission requirements. Any changes in numbers in either location must be approved by the COR in advance.

    • US Passport & US State Driver's license required
    • Military discharge must be Honorable
    • Minimum of HS Diploma required, Bachelor's preferred
    • Ten (10) years of experience in military, civilian law enforcement or civil defense (fire service).
    • Five (5) years of training experience in military, law enforcement or civil defense.
      • Training background will include actual classroom or tactical forum teaching experience, evaluation of courses and instructors, training administration and/or instructor development experience, either in military or police training institutions or an educational setting at the college or university level.
    • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
    • One (1) year overseas experience in any combination of military, law enforcement, or similar security service training and/or program implementation.
    • Proven experience as a military, law enforcement or civil defense instructor in an academic environment.
    • Experience in developing, conducting, managing, and evaluating training.
    • Experience in working with/supervising contracted training providers.
    • Proven ability to coach, teach, and mentor others.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in difficult and possibly dangerous environments, preferably in a Middle-Eastern locale.
    • Proficient at basic office computer programs to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Possess instructor certification from a recognized academy, college, university, or a military service.
    • Ability to pass the pre-employment screening, medical, psychological, physical fitness, and obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification.
