    • Serves as supervisor of training and integration Protective Security Operators (PSO) in overseas locations
    • Conducts training for WPS II personnel and integration training for LNs in overseas locations.
    • Liaisons with other training entities involved with WPS II and integration of LNs.
    • Serves as a mentor for integrated LN protective security personnel.
    • Coordinates and conducts in-service training and firearms re-qualifications for WPS II personnel. 
    • Evaluates and documents student performance, and provides performance counseling when required
    • Assists the Director of Training with the conduct of contract training courses 
    • A bio approved ITI is authorized to permanently fill the position / labor category of the Protective Security Specialist (PSS) in case of shortages with the approval of the CO or COR.


    • Must be a US citizen.
    • US Passport and US State Driver's License required
    • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years experience as an instructor in a security field.
    • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a full-time equivalent (FTE) firearms instructor, this experience must have been earned as part of other federal, state, or local government training assignments.
    • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years experience in protective security assignments.
      • A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been in a supervisory or in-charge capacity.
        • This experience and background may have been gained in any of the following organizations:
          • U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service.
          • U.S. Secret Service
          • U.S. Federal Agencies. e.g. FBI (Former Special Agents with protective security background)
          • U.S. Special Operations Forces
          • U.S. Military
          • Commercial executive protective services with military or police background.
    • A minimum of six (6) months of this experience must have been in protective security under WPS II or any of its predecessor contracts (WPPS, WPPS II, or WPS).


    Upon bio approval, and before beginning work on the contract, the ITI shall:

    • Attend and successfully complete the PSS training course
    • Qualify with the Glock-19, M4, M203, M240, M249, and Remington 870 shotgun, re-qualifying as required by the task order.
    • Attend and successfully complete the DS BFFOC training course
    • Obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance as identified in the task order.
    • Complete the WPS Physical Readiness Test at the 65% performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order. 
    • Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order in specific.
