SOC is recruiting for a Recruitment/EEO Specialist for our Nevada location.
Administer and maintain the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) with full responsibility for data base maintenance. Maintain a variety of Human Resources Information in corporate and local databases with employee confidential and sensitive data. Compile and prepare various HR reports and internal data deliverables.
Serve as business unit representative for recruitment and selection of qualified applicants as per Company policy and procedures; oversees the business unit recruitment program; establish recruitment areas and contacts, attends job fairs, etc. Interface and coordinate recruitment requirements with SOC Corporate Human Resources. Oversees development, revision and updates of business unit job descriptions and maintains job description files for business unit.
Complete local business unit responsibilities for on-boarding all new hires and orientation.
Complete local business unit responsibilities for employment placement which includes preparation and completion of salary worksheets and preparation of job offers.
Administer business unit FMLA process in compliance with DOL Federal Regulation by providing guidance to employees on FMLA, providing and tracking appropriate paperwork, tracking hours used, providing required notifications to employees within required timeframes.
Oversees the Affirmative Action (AA) Plan; responsible for database management of plan and ensures compliance with federal regulations and updates the AA Plan for business unit.
Knowledge of Federal, state, DOE, SOC, NNSS, State of Nevada rules, laws and regulations regarding employment practices and procedures, including Affirmative Action requirements and job analysis and job description development
Human Resources data management and report writing preferably in an enterprise system such as SAP, Oracle etc.
Interpret laws, regulations, and rules, policies and procedures and the prevailing Collective Bargaining Agreement as they relate to classification and compensation practices
Intermediate-level computer skills that include all the Microsoft Office Suite of software and SAP HRIS Module.
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with staff, external agencies and the general public
Bachelor’s degree or six (6) years’ experience in Human Resource management or Business Administration
Five (5) years’ experience in recruitment, salary and compensation administration, performance evaluation process management, job analysis and job description development and human resource database operations or any combination of related education and/or experience
Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification, and/or WorldatWork’s Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification desired
Valid US Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License
