SOC is recruiting for an ARGUS System Manager for our Nevada location.
Directs, supervises, and controls Argus security systems activities to include the following functional areas: daily staffing; overseeing security systems life-cycle management and process improvement upgrades; coordinating with various SOC Department Heads on policies, procedures and security systems duties; corrective action for a major portion of all customer-identified security systems deficiencies to include overseeing, processing and approving all electronic technician discipline issues.
Manage and control Argus project planning and execution through Project Management Principles.
Serve as the SOC Nevada single POC with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, and NA-70 program officers for ARGUS.
Develop and maintain formal validation and test plan.
Selects, hires, promotes, supervises, coaches and develops subordinates, and administers personnel actions (i.e. discipline, performance evaluations, salary administration, etc.) for department staff.
Develops and maintains security systems engineering operating budget.
Knowledge and skills to be proficient in the use of various computer operating systems and data bases, i.e. OpenVMS 8.x, Windows 10.x, WinServer, Splunk 6, Oracle 10.g
Knowledge of site security operation and access control concepts.
Knowledge of ARGUS Security System requirements as they apply to the following: access to the all Argus applications, allowing the user to login with a role appropriate to the user’s responsibilities; daily maintenance of the system; maintain Host and Workstation computers and operating systems; Argus software installations; Argus software configuration; software and configuration debugging activities,
Knowledgeable in Federal and State Laws and Regulations, Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, Manuals, Guides, and Standards, SOC Nevada procedures, all SOC Nevada site security procedures and policies to include extensive knowledge of the Site Security Plan requirements as they relate to Security Systems utilized to protect Special Nuclear Material, Classified Material, and DOE facilities
Intermediate-level computer skills that include all the Microsoft Office Suite software as well as software involved with Argus Security System
Bachelor's Degree in Security Management with a focus on security systems (advanced degree preferred)
Five (5) years’ experience working directly with security intrusion detection and access control systems.
Five (5) years’ experience in the use of various computer operating systems and data bases, i.e. OpenVMS 8.x, Windows 10.x, WinServer, Splunk 6, Oracle 10.g t
Valid US Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License
