Overview

SOC is recruiting for an ARGUS Station Designer for the NNSS Protective Force Contract in Nevada. 

 

Ensures all aspects of Argus security system engineering and installations are completed and operate to identified specifications by conducting strategic and long-term program planning and testing to ensure the protection of Government property, personnel, vital equipment, unclassified facilities, classified matter and special nuclear material.

Responsibilities

  • Enter the station and portal specific configuration information. This includes specification of all field processors, stations, portals, units, cameras, user-entry devices, and associated parameter data; and placement of icons for all configured units at the appropriate location on the Argus site maps.
  • Interface with the customer and Security Administrator to provide adequate security coverage and correct features.
  • Enter/modify alarm station and portal configuration.
  • Proposes configuration changes

Qualifications

  • Skills in the operation and use of computers and applications to enter the station and portal specific configuration information and proposes these database changes. This includes specification of all field processors, stations, portals, units, cameras, user-entry devices, and associated parameter data; and placement of icons for all configured units at the appropriate location on the Argus site maps.
  • Ability to effectively interface with the customer and Security Administrator to provide adequate security coverage and correct features.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw conclusions drawing upon experience, research and input from peers. 
  • Ability to enter / modify alarm station and portal configuration.
  • Knowledgeable in Federal and State Laws and Regulations, Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, Manuals, Guides, and Standards, NNSA procedures, all NNSS site security procedures and policies to include extensive knowledge of the Site Security Plan requirements as they relate to Security Systems utilized to protect Special Nuclear Material, Classified Material, and DOE/NNSA facilities
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • Three (3) years’ experience working directly with security systems alarm stations and access control panels.
  • Valid US Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License
