SOC is recruiting for an ARGUS Database Administrator for the NNSS Protective Force Contract in Nevada.
Diagnose and resolve database and server performance issues
Maintain check on the health of the databases and work with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Argus subject matter experts for support when problems arise.
Apply database patches, maintenance patches, and upgrade databases to supported release levels.
Implement security compliance tools and remediate known security vulnerabilities.
Develop and maintain Argus database security guidelines to include DOE, NNSA, NNSS, NIST and industry best practices.
Knowledge, skills and ability necessary to be proficient in the use of Oracle 10g
Knowledgeable in database management of security systems
Ability to apply database patches, maintenance patches, and upgrade databases to supported release levels.
Skills necessary to implement security compliance tools and remediate known security vulnerabilities.
Knowledgeable in Federal and State Laws and Regulations, Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, Manuals, Guides, and Standards, NNSA procedures, all NNSS site security procedures and policies to include extensive knowledge of the Site Security Plan requirements as they relate to Security Systems utilized to protect Special Nuclear Material, Classified Material, and DOE/NNSA facilities
Associate degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Four (4) years’ experience working directly with security systems database management
Certification in the use of Oracle 10g is highly desired
Valid US Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License
