SOC is recruiting for Instructors for our Nevada location.
Develops and to provides training for Protective Force personnel. Conducts Protective Force basic, refresher, remedial, firearms, and specialty training. Conducts training as assigned by the Training Manager. Documents training conducted. Evaluates the performance of students and training programs. Prepares classrooms and training facilities, prior to and after the presentation of instruction. Works with Curriculum Specialist and Training Manager on development of training.
Develops, reviews and updates hazard identification and mitigation plans, training safety plans, lesson plans, visual aids, student guides and other training documents
Provides information and evaluation results for the training needs analysis to include EMETL information required for training needs analysis.
Serves as Protective Force training subject matter expert during training, systems performance tests, inspections, surveys, and audits. Serves as a primary subject matter expert in assigned areas of protective force operations, e.g., legal authority, use of force, or other topical areas as assigned
Completes Internal Investigation Report (IIR) to address personnel inappropriate actions or violations of policy that occur during training
Participates in FOF Exercises
Applicable CFRs, DOE and SOC orders, response plans, policies and procedures as they apply to training of personnel in these areas
Collective Bargaining Agreement and Human Resource policies and procedures as it applies to training of personnel to include all SRT training
Safety, health and security regulations, principles, procedures, practices, and processes, to include the ISM and ISSM processes
Oral, written communication and presentation methods and techniques.
Instructional Systems Design process, adult learning theory and practices, and instructional presentation methodologies and technologies.
Associate degree in education, training, criminal justice or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
Three (3) years of instruction experience with a DOE Protective Force operation, Law Enforcement agency, or a Military operation.
Must be able to attain all instructor certifications required to conduct Protective Force Training as required by DOE and SOC—must successfully complete and maintain DOE NTC Qualifications.
Valid US Driver's License with the ability to obtain Nevada Driver's License
