SOC is recruiting for an Operations Security Orders (SPO I) for the NNSS Protective Force Contract in Nevada.


This position is accountable for the maintenance and timely update of all Post Orders, Post Order Annexes, General Security Orders, and Supplemental Security Orders. This includes revising the various orders on an annual basis and when policy changes affect the procedures contained in the respective orders. In addition, this position provides back up to the Operations Support Operations Officer in his/her absence. This position performs at an administrative, specialist level and is non-supervisory. This position performs administrative support for the PF Planning & Operations Support Department and is responsible for maintaining specific reports.


  • Develop, maintain, update and distribute all Post, General Security and Supplemental Security Orders
  • Coordinates and executes the Post and General Security Orders annual updates.


  • Knowledgeable in scheduling and organization of multi-shift Protective Force activities, SOC Shift work assignments and day-off rotation.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member and manage multiple tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to speak and write in a grammatically correct, effective manner, drafting correspondence, proofreading text.
  • Intermediate-level computer skills that include all the Microsoft Office Suite of software and ACCESS Database.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) years’ experience Technical Writing, English Composition or related field.
  • One (1) year work experience with DOE orders and guidelines desired.
  • Valid US Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License.
  • DOE “Q” clearance
