Overview

SOC is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to the General Manager for our Nevada location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support to the General Manager, to include overseeing completion of contract deliverables to SOC corporate, managing the General Manager’s suspense date requirements, helping to ensure effective communications between the General Manager (GM) and the entire business unit. Support General Manager to developing draft responses prepare memoranda, reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Establish and maintain general, technical, sensitive program or project records, files and related indexes; updating and maintaining technical and procedural reference documents. Maintains data, files and information of a confidential nature on a regular basis.
  • Managing General Manager’s calendar to ensure efficient time management. Additionally, schedules, organizes and plans all SOC GM meetings, visits, appointments, travel, etc.
  • Provides administrative support for the Director of Business, Director of Mission Assurance and Director of Technology.
  • Receive/screen and handles telephone calls, incoming mail, publications and other correspondence, some of which may be of a confidential or sensitive nature.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Office practices and operations and SOC Nevada, SOC Corporate and Day & Zimmermann Office Administration policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member as well as establish and maintain an effective working relationship with staff, external agencies and the general public. Must be able to work with confidential data on a regular basis, as required.
  • Skills to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with staff, external agencies and the general public. Respond to all situations with professionalism, tact, diplomacy and use direction when necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail as well as confidentiality.  Incumbent must be proficient organizational skills. Ability to schedule and manage an executive’s schedule including meetings, presentations, appointments and travel.
  • Intermediate-level computer skills that include all the Microsoft Office Suite of software, with advanced-level computer skills in MS Word.
  • A high school diploma. Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of responsible office management or administrative support role.
  • Valid US Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License
  • DOE “Q” clearance authorization
