SOC is recruiting for Procurement Specialists for our Nevada location.
Receive items into inventory, sort items in the warehouse, and coordinate purchasing and receipt activities with the Contract and Finance Manager, SOC corporate Supply Chain Management group, and SOC Nevada M&O Supply Chain Management representatives. Maintain inventory, issue items from the warehouse to users of the items, and document of issuance and receipt of issue and orders.
Oversee property management system; establish accountability records upon receipt of property; track property for location/ownership; maintain records of Property Custodians for all accountable items; communicate with departing employees on property issues; responds to Institution property needs. Reviews current Property Management Plan, property policies and procedures and recommends improvements/enhancements as appropriate. Schedule and oversees physical property inventories; ships in compliance with regulatory requirements. Verify proper classification of Government fixed, controlled and High Risk property as defined by DOE orders, Federal Code of Regulations, United States Munitions List, SOC and SOC Nevada Property Management Manuals. Initiate and maintain current property databases and reports using SOC Nevada Sunflower system.
SOC Key Custodian responsible for the ordering and accountability of all SOC Nevada keys and cores. Responsible for coordinating the installation and removal of all key cores, the issue and receiving of all SOC-LA keys and padlocks, and the coordination of changing of combination locks.
Implement the Fleet Management Plan Five Year Life Cycle Plan which identifies short and long-term replacement of fleet related property and equipment; replacement forecasting; quantity; associated cost; type and/or classification; prioritization based on needs; and budget considerations, Oversee compliance with the controlling of all government-furnished and specialized vehicles assigned to SOC Nevada. Develop and submit monthly data deliverable concerning SOC Nevada vehicle mileage.
Knowledge of: property, warehousing, and supply functions in accordance with applicable Federal, State, UC, DOE, and SOC policies and procedures; concepts, theories, principles, practices, methods, and techniques to implement property, warehousing, and supply chain plans and programs.
Knowledge of: property and inventory control systems and interrelationships among facilities’ contracts, numerous Government regulations, including expertise in FAR/DEARS property requirements; SOC Nevada Sunflower System and Data Warehouse
Knowledge of: DOE, GSA, State and SOC fleet maintenance, fleet operational policies and procedures; methods, and techniques of conducting a professional fleet management program,
Knowledge of Federal and State laws and Regulations, Department of Energy (DOE) Orders, Manuals, Guides, and Standards and SOC policies, procedures, and orders which pertain to safeguards and security, facility management, and locks and keys
Associate degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or five years related working experience in purchasing or property operations and management
Three (3) years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
Valid US Driver’s License and be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License
