Coordinates, tracks and reports status of all projects and transition scheduling activities for the Transition Manager. Maintains the Master Transition Schedule using Microsoft Project and monitors the transition schedule critical path. Works closely with the Transition team to determine current project status and identifies potential schedule issues that require management attention. Assists the Deputy Transition Manager to coordinate and validate the Transition Blue-Sheet process and manage the associated SharePoint database. Provides other project transition support to the Transition Manager and team as required.


  • Schedule and coordinate Transition Team activities in accordance with the Master Transition Schedule (Microsoft Project product).
  • Provide detailed transition schedule status briefings for the Transition Manager and Team, with special emphasis on “Critical Path” items that are crucial to Transition success. 
  • Maintain Master Transition Schedule to record additions, deletions and ensure currency.
  • Obtain and manage project task status through frequent verbal, email and VTC-type communications/interface with Transition Team members.
  • Coordinate and validate transition Blue-Sheet process.  Blue Sheeting is a documented assessment of each policy, procedure and facility that SOC will assume post-Transition.  Each assessment must be filed, approved and stored for historical purposes.  This position must understand and utilize Microsoft SharePoint which will be the management tool and repository for all Blue Sheet data. 
  • Organize Beginning and End-of-Day meeting administrative requirements such as providing paper copies, preparing electronic presentations (i.e. PowerPoint), setting up conference rooms and establishing VTC or Telecon links for meeting sessions.
  • Support Transition Manager with other duties as deemed necessary.  Includes but not limited to:  courteously answering telephones, greeting/supporting office visitors, providing administrative support to other team members upon request. 


  • Comprehensive understanding of, and experience using “Microsoft Project”.
  • Understanding of, and experience using “Microsoft SharePoint”.
  • Strong customer service skills to include professional telephone and email etiquette.
  • Previous federal government experience or federal contract support experience is desired.
  • A government security clearance is not required.
